School-Age Children's Intelligence Assessment
Purpose
To assess a child's intellectual and cognitive profile, enabling parents to nurture their strengths, provide appropriate support in areas of weakness, and help the child reach their full potential.
Age
Children aged 6 to 16 years.
Assessment Scope
Using internationally standardised assessment tools, this service evaluates a child's overall intellectual profile across four areas:
1. Verbal comprehension.
2. Perceptual reasoning.
3. Working memory.
4. Processing speed
This helps identify the child's strengths and weaknesses, as well as children with special needs, such as gifted children or children with intellectual disabilities.
Process
The assessment includes three parts:
1. Pre-assessment interview with parents.
2. Assessment and observation of the child using Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children – Fourth Edition(Hong Kong) [WISC-IV(HK)]
3. Post-assessment interview with parents to explain the results and provide recommendations for follow-up and training.
Remarks

The full assessment and explanation of results take approximately 120 minutes and include a brief English assessment report.

This service is provided by a clinical psychologist.

The assessment report will be completed within 10 working days, and parents will be invited to come to the centre to receive the report explanation.
